How To Write Resumee without Experience

If you are a college student or a new graduate you would not have any work experience. The only thing to include on your resume is your education because that’s the experience you have recently been through.

Therefore, you can focus on transferable skills. These skills can be applied under different circumstances. Perhaps you are a good orator or you have the ability to communicate well. This skill is much required by any company or organization. Other skills may include the sales skills, the ability to solve problems or to work with numbers.

There are a number of ways by which transferable skills can be mentioned on your cover letter, job application or on your resume.

But how do you list the transferable skills?

Nowadays, they all go by personal profiles. So open a big introductory paragraph, which would describe the skills and assets. You had to do whitepapers, projects and do an exhaustive research while in college. If you had conducted a comprehensive study, or designed engineering plan you can mention them. Use the educational experience and also include a short gist of the coursework which often mentions the transferable skill sets.

Many students would have a work history and they might have gained working skills like working with other, communicating and coordinating with friends on a project, dependability and so on.

Voluntary work done in schools can also be mentioned. No work experience resume can be drafted most skillfully if some creativity and intuition can be used.

Apart from this a no-work experience resume would look much the same as a professional resume. It would be printed out in ivory or white paper with regular 10-12 font size. In other words, it should be presentable.

There should be mention of educational qualifications and the recent most degree mentioned on top. The different sections should be in proper chronological order.

The best way is to mention the name, address and phone number right on top. Then you have to mention the goal or the job objective. Thereafter, you can mention the educational qualifications with special emphasis on projects you have worked out and the key skills or achievements concerning those projects. These would enable the employer to judge where in his company you would suit the best. Lastly, you can mention the co-curricular activities without much exaggeration.

The other very personal details like height, weight and other details can be safely avoided.

The main factor in writing a no work experience resume is presentation. It should be presented the best way it can be presented to the employer who would get attracted enough to call you for an interview. There are hundreds of them coming to him and so this resume must make his way to the table and not to the waste paper box. A resume when constructed with care and precision would stand out among the rest.
